WE MANAGE CATARACT SURGERY!

We work closely with several cataract surgeons in central Minnesota to give you the best possible outcome.  In most cases, patients can have their intial eye examination and surgical preparation here at LAKES Eye Clinic.  We will assist you with scheduling and coordinating an intial evaluation with the cataract surgeon of your choice.  In some cases, we will see you here in post surgical follow-up one day after surgery. 

Cataract surgery is generally an out-patient procedure.  After the cataract in removed, a lens implant is placed.  When considering cataract surgery, we must together discuss which lens implant is best suited for your individual visual needs.  We now have available implants that correct both distance and near vision, including nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. In many cases, we can eliminate the need for eyeglasses after surgery!
